Can you believe it's December already? I was just looking over my VERY large list of things to do to get ready for Christmas! Yikes! I'd better get shopping, and decorating and enjoying!
Speaking of enjoying! This week my Mom hit a very significant milestone and so our whole family drove to the mountains (Jasper National Park) to celebrate her big day! We definitly hit the jackpot with the crying gift! I made her a mini with pics of her life and of all of us and included a love letter from each of us! Many many tears flowed (and not just from her eyes). I got the opportunity to stay with Noah and Joel while most of the rest of the family took advantage of the snow and the early season ski conditions - which they said was actually pretty good (and they had fun because there were about 20 people on at the ski hill too!)
More enjoying! Today Joel and I went to the kids Christmas party for Matt's work (unfortunately he actually had to be at work and couldn't come). But we had fun anyway and I was impressed because Joel actually sat on Santa's knee! He's so excited about the little Bob the builder gift he received from Santa too! Joel had a great time playing with his friends and I had some nice chats with my friends. A good day!
This is my submission for OLW's "LIVE" challenge this week: (it's also a new technique I played with from Jessica Sprague's photoshop friday):
So excited to start working on this mini! I have it all ready to go (inspired by Ali Edwards) - everyday I just have to pick a picture from the day and journal my favorite memory). I'll be showcasing them here!
One other exciting thing: Congrats to my friends Rachelle and Mike on the birth of a healthy baby boy on thursday! Logan Jesse! Yippee!
