Day 17

Today, Joel and Daddy (and some friends) moved all the office furniture into the basement so that we can set up the nursery for Joshua. Joel had fun helping Daddy with the books!

Joshua had a big day today. He had a routine ultrasound of his head to make sure that he did okay while being born - we won't know the results until tomorrow but I'm confident he is perfect in every way. Matt and I went with him and the nurse to the test and got to watch. It was good to be there for that. Later on in the day he had a bath and that tuckered him right out. He started having some breathing issues again so I opted not to breast feed him and the nurses have given him a little bit of oxygen tonight and slowed his tube feeds down just to give him a little extra boost! He's doing well and the breathing issues have disappeared! Thank you Jesus!

Thank you Chrissy for finding another amazing promise that we can stand on for Joshua:
"For this child I prayed, and the Lord has granted me my petition which I asked of Him." 1 Samuel 1:27 God is GOOD!

Your posts just make me so weepy! He's such a trooper. That picture of Matts hand touching his face...*sigh* beautiful. Just the tenderness of a man's hand, how softly it's laying against his cheek, it's poetic.

Praying for those test results!

So I was talking about you with Pete over dinner last night...I told him that your word this year was Courage, and that you named your son Joshua. Pete said that was the most perfect name for him...that Joshua was the smallest of all his brothers, but that he was the one with the most courage. Of course you already know all this, but it just made me feel warm in my heart for you.
I'm so blessed every day to see your courage, Kim! :)

Joel is the cutest (well one of them anyway)... He still reminds me of a Whoo from Whooville. I love you guys.
