So proud of you Mom!

We celebrated my Mom's retirement and her birthday yesterday. My Mom worked as a registered nurse for many years ... all with Children in Pediatric hospitals. She was my inspiration to become a nurse, and I was priveleged to work with her at the beginning of my career. One night I was caring for a very sick child and my Mom came on to the day shift and took over my assignment - it was such a cool to give her report and see how proud she was of me for the work I had done through the night. You are a wonderful nurse Mom ... you will be missed at the hospital I'm sure. BUT, I'm so glad you are turning a new page in your life and get some time to relax and enjoy life in a new way (and I'm so glad you've chosen to spend much of your free time with me and my family!)

This year has sped by! December is upon us and there are some changes happening around our house! Tomorrow I start my first day back at work in Emergency. I'll be working three orientation shifts and then will really be starting work in January (when my maternity leave is up). I plan to work 3 shifts a week (with Matt and my Mom caring for our boys). It's been a kinda difficult choice for me. I so enjoy being a SAHM ... but this is the year for me to get my hours so that I can keep my nursing licence. Another thing I'm working on is this year's December Daily album. So excited to get started on this one!

How cool that your mom is your hero. I love that. That stinks that you're going back to work, but if I had the chance, I would totally jump on it! Esp if you have good people watching your kids!

Can't wait to see your Dec Daily!

How cool is that to have a mom like that....

I hope that going back to work isn't too difficult...I know that when I eventually will, it will be a hard thing to do.

Talk to you soon!
