We can ...

I can quilt! Woo hoo! This is a sneak peak of my first ever quilt. I have wanted to do this for years! I have found this amazing blog called Oh Fransson ... she is an amazing quilter and was having a quilt along - I didn't exactly follow along with her quilt but made this mini one. All I have to do is put the trim on and then it's done. SO so excited about this!

Joel can hop on one foot ... no photo available - you'll have to take my word for it! He also loves the Backyardigans - he can sing the entire anthem. His favorite episode is the Snow Fort - with the Mounties and the Ski "Catrol". This morning he said the sweetest thing to me. I was reading Psalm 121 out loud to him and were talking about how God watches over us and He never sleeps.
Joel asks " hey, does He live with us?"
"Yes" I reply, "God lives in our hearts."
Joel said "Yeah, I think He lives in our house with us."

Josh can ... climb the stairs, hit a ball with a hockey stick, cluck his tongue, eat table foods, tell us his opinion (not with words yet, but with his voice for sure). He also can push objects around so that he can get across the floor (walking and pushing), wear #4 Pampers, say Mama, Dada, and hi, give us five, and motor across the room crawling. He's getting so so big.

Leaving this post with Psalm 121:
I look up to the mountains— does my help come from there?
My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth!
He will not let you stumble; the one who watches over you will not slumber.
Indeed, he who watches over Israel never slumbers or sleeps.
The Lord himself watches over you!
The Lord stands beside you as your protective shade.
The sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon at night.
The Lord keeps you from all harm and watches over your life.
The Lord keeps watch over you as you come and go, both now and forever.

Peace to you.

That is awesome! That's like...REAL quilting. I made it as far as piecing blocks together into a top and doing one solid color on the back. I never made it so far as to actually quilt the quilt. All that fancy stitching seemed a bit difficult at the time. Maybe I'll take another stab at it.

Yay for all those milestones your kiddos are reaching. Joel has a tender little heart. And Josh, it seems like he just got here!

Thanks for posting that Psalms. I've read it a million times, but there's always something fresh or new about it...something I've missed before.

:)
